Jayme and Tim, from California, were such a nice and laid-back couple. Hats off to Cristina Coronas for the beautiful flowers! And to James Christianson, a photographer from Colorado, for the unbelievable photos!

Amanda + Harry’s Manuel Antonio Costa Rica Wedding

What do you get when you have a lovely couple from Brooklyn with Puerto Rican roots? A beautiful and FUN wedding! Amanda and Harry wanted to wow their guests with the beautiful Punto de Vista private villa in Manuel Antonio and its’ stunning views. The couple said I do on the rooftop deck with views of the ocean and the jungle. Guests also got a taste of local Costa Rican flavors as the menu consisted of mango salad, ceviche bites and plantain-crusted mahi mahi. As far as design, Amanda wanted very soft tones for flowers and linens: off-white, light pink and greys. Everything tied together seamlessly and Amanda left no detail out!

Felicidades to Amanda and Harry! It was a pleasure planning your wedding!

Victoria + Arin’s Hacienda Pinilla Wedding

Victoria loved orchids and the color purple! This was a very culturally rich wedding as Victoria’s family is from Iran and Arin’s from Armenia so they had a traditional Persian Entrance where the bride and groom danced with their guests to traditional music.

The bride and groom decided to do some very unique photos, including a photo before the ceremony where they were separated by a door but did not see eachother. I love this!

The bride’s beautiful bouquet and Manolo Blahnik shoes

As we are in the dry season in Costa Rica, it can be hot under the sun so the umbrellas (in purple, of course), are a great accessory for guests

Las Palapas at Hacienda Pinilla is a gorgeous venue so makes for great photos of the bride and groom

The night of their wedding was a new moon so we had bulb lights and lanterns to illuminate their dining area in the sand

More photos of the set-up: Purple menus, purple place cards, purple napkins and purple orchids! Combined with a lace overlay and white chairs/chargers.

And finally, one of the neatest parts of the wedding, the Persian entrance

Mark + Ann’s Hacienda Pinilla Wedding

There is so much about this wedding (and couple!) that I love! For starters, Ann and Mark are such a sweet couple and it’s so evident how in love they are! Not to mention they are both so talented. All of the invitations, favors, programs, welcome bags…they created them all as Mark is a creative director and Ann is a freelance designer. Wow! And the details: yellow orchids, succulents and coffee beans. And the chapel and the horsedrawn carriage? Perfection! A big thank you to Comfort Studio for the amazing photos…

Perla + Jerry’s Villa Caletas Wedding

Perla and Jerry wanted their friends and family to get a taste of what Costa Rica has to offer so we planned lots of fun adventure activities for their guests including white water rafting and ziplining. They still had lots of energy for the wedding day and danced the night away to a local tropical band that played salsa and merengue and some other local favorites.

The wedding theme was ‘rustic chic’. The centerpieces were made of natural wood with purple and pink flowers. We paired it with grey tablecloths, glass chargers, purple napkins and the ever-so-chic transparent chiavari chairs.

The view from Villa Caletas is stunning!

The bride’s bouquet and bridesmaid’s bouquets tied in seamlessly with the reception decor, as did the bride’s shoes!

Felicidades to Perla and Jerry! Thank you for letting us be part of your special day!

Kristen + Christopher’s Manuel Antonio Wedding

Kristen and Christopher had spent several months apart before their wedding due to Chris’s job. So, the wedding day was even more special for these two lovebirds. And what a better place than Manuel Antonio?

The groom waiting for his bride as she walks down the aisle

Rain? In the tropics? Yes it does happen…But she made the most of it!

Eduardo Lopez took some spectacular shots of the couple

Cala lilies were combined with roses and orchids for a pop of the tropics:

Kristen designed these fun menus and place cards

And these burlap bags filled with Costa Rican chocolate goodies are the perfect favors for guests

The bride and the groom!! Felicidades to Kristen and Chris!!!

Elizabeth + Robert’s Playa Flamingo, Costa Rica Elopement

Elizabeth and Robert traded the midwest for the beaches of Costa Rica for their romantic elopement in Playa Flamingo, Costa Rica. They rented a gorgeous villa in the hills overlooking the ocean, which made for a perfect setting for their wedding:

Gracias to the talented El Velo Photography for the photos!

Jillian + Jordan’s Playa Prieta Beach Club Wedding Costa Rica

Jillian & Jordan’s Wedding

I had the pleasure of meeting Jillian and Jordan several months ago when they flew down to Costa Rica to visit The Four Seasons and Playa Prieta Beach Club. They loved the property and immediately booked their return tickets for a July wedding. Friends and family came all the way from Israel and the US for their wedding weekend.

The weekend started off with a trip to a volcano and hot springs. The guests also enjoyed the beautiful golf course at The Four Seasons, relaxing spa treatments and a welcome dinner in Playas del Coco.

Playa Prieta Beach Club is one of my favorite venues in Costa Rica. The setting cannot be beat. It’s lush, intimate and simply beautiful.

On their wedding day, Jillian and Jordan signed the ketubah before their ceremony, as is custom in Jewish weddings. Prior to signing the ketubah, Jordan and Jillian shared an intimate moment at the beach club when they saw eachother for the first time. I love these first look photos:

For the signing of the ketubah, Jillian and Jordan were surrounded by lots of love:

For the colors for the ceremony, the bride chose whites, greens and purple to add that pop of color:

As you can see, the green blended in nicely with the natural surroundings:

We had this cute sign made for the wedding. Guests could go barefoot or opt for the purple and white flip flops:

Some of my favorite shots:

After a local duo played, a live band performed followed by a fire show and then a DJ to top off the evening:

Yep, it’s official – they are married! Mazel Tov, Jillian & Jordan!

A special thank you to El Velo Photography for providing these beautiful photos!

Jennifer + Ashraf’s Manuel Antonio Costa Rica Wedding

Jennifer and Ashraf wed at the stunning villa, Punto de Vista, in Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica. Jennifer had quite the eye for design and floral decor and everything was perfect from the custom-made linens to the napkin selection to the place cards and each and every last detail. Thank you Ale Sura for the gorgeous photos!

The venue, Punto de Vista:

I am in love with this set-up!

Lots of orchids…

For the menu, the bride and groom wanted to tie in a little of the groom’s Egyptian heritage so offered falafel and ras el hanout shrimp and chicken.

And lots of tropical drinks, including passionfruit and green tea mojitos and watermelon slush with guava

The bride and the groom – gorgeous pics!

And it wouldn’t be a party without the belly dancer and the Arabic music
