I had the pleasure of meeting with Jared and Liz a few times before their wedding. They love Costa Rica that much that they came down to visit several times! It was such a treat to get to know them before their wedding. What a lovely and in love couple. The wedding reflected their laid-back style with rustic wood centerpieces and lots of color – from the flowers to the lanterns to the candles. Lauren & Kyle’s Villa Caletas Costa Rica Wedding
Lauren and Kyle were such a lovely couple and it was clear that they were very much in love. They were also a lot of fun, as were the guests, who came all of the way from New York to celebrate! The rehearsal dinner was held on the terrace overlooking the lush gardens and Pacific Ocean at the Marriott Los Suenos. On the wedding day, which was held at Villa Caletas ampitheater, we could not have been luckier with the rain-free day in August! I loved all of the colors at the reception: purple, white and green orchids in bamboo vases; white cala lilies; pink ginger flowers; burlap runners and bamboo chairs to complete the tropical meets rustic look! Jazmine & Jimmy’s Hacienda Pinilla Costa Rica Wedding
Jazmine & Jimmy: highschool sweethearts who came to Costa Rica from Texas to celebrate their love and say ‘I do’. Many guests traveled from afar for the wedding weekend: From Australia, New Zealand, England and of course Texas. It was a fun-packed week for the guests as they participated in ATV-ing, canopy, horseback riding, snorkeling and catamaran.
At the wedding, green was the color of choice. I love green! It’s fresh, a classic and goes with so much! We paired it with chocolate brown and it was absolutely stunning! Thank you to El Velo Photography for the gorgeous photos and videos.

Loren & Orestes Villa Caletas Costa Rica Wedding
Loren & Orestes’s wedding was a romantic and elegant affair at Villa Caletas. From the centerpieces to the fabric draping the railings in the ampitheater to the bridal bouquet, red was the color of choice. I have to start off this post by saying that the bride, Tanya, is also from the great state of Wisconsin (like yours truly!) So we clicked from the get-go and had a blast planning her wedding. She, like me, is very organized and detail-oriented!
It didn’t take long for this group to settle into the Costa Rican lifestyle of catamaran and snorkeling expeditions, ziplining, soaking in volcanic mud and horseback riding by the waterfalls. The wedding day was clear and warm as the couple said ‘I do’ on the beach at Playa Hermosa. The reception had a tropical rustic feel with the colors being blue and white with a splash of coral. What a stylish wedding and couple! The bride, Kiley, is a fashion stylist so you can bet that her wedding dress and overall wedding were very a la mode! She wore a J Crew dress and a shrug from Foley and Corinna. The wedding took place at the Pacifico Beach Club which is both beachy and modern at the same time.
